EDM (ZAPpb)

An Electrical Discharge Machine (ZAPpb) is a highly accurate instrument used in the manufacturing to produce complicated forms and patterns in metals that are challenging to manufacture using conventional techniques. In order to erode the material and produce the required form, EDM employs a regulated electric discharge between an electrode and the workpiece.

A dielectric fluid is used during cutting to immerse the electrode and workpiece, which aids in cooling and flushing away the eroded material. This EDM can create objects with exquisite features and precise tolerances and is extremely accurate.
