PhD Students

We have PhD positions available for students interested in developing and characterizing novel functional materials. We are currently hiring PhD students to work on exciting projects related to:

• Bulk metallic glasses — synthesis, characterization, and applications of BMGs with enhanced functonal properties
• High entropy alloys — investigating novel HEAs for various applications
• Magnetic shape memory alloys — exploring MSMAs with multifunctional properties and optimized phase transformation behavior

Requirements:

• MSc degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
• Strong interest in experimental materials research and characterization techniques
• Good knowledge of materials physics and metallurgy
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Experience with materials characterization techniques is a plus
