Lab head Mariusz Hasiak appointed to the Academia Professorum Iuniorum

We are proud to announce that our lab head, Mariusz Hasiak, Assoc. Prof., Ph.D., has been selected as a member of the first cohort of the Academia Professorum Iuniorum. This prestigious group, established by the Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, comprises eighteen outstanding researchers.
The Academia Professorum Iuniorum was created to support the development of young associate professors who are undertaking innovative research topics and building new scientific teams.
Mariusz Hasiak represents the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Mechanics, Materials and Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on the relationship between microstructure and magnetic properties in amorphous and nanocrystalline Fe-based alloys, as well as the magnetocaloric effect in Fe, La, and Gd-based alloys. Currently, his work centers on bulk metallic glasses (BMG) produced both by rapid cooling and other methods.
With over 100 scientific papers, a patent, and numerous awards—including the Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship—Mariusz’s inclusion in the Academy highlights his significant contributions to materials science.
As a member of the Academy, he will receive a two-year internal grant of 120,000 PLN to support the further development of our research team and scientific endeavors. We congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition!
