Michał Biały wins Best Student Presentation Award at MRS Fall Meeting 2024 in Boston

We are thrilled to announce that our lab member, Michał Biały, has received the Best Student Presentation Award at the 2024 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit in Boston, USA. This event is widely recognized as the world’s largest and most prestigious international conference on materials research.

Michał was awarded for his presentation titled:

In Situ Rheological Characterization During Thermoplastic Joining of Novel Zr-based Bulk Metallic Glasses

His work focuses on the advanced characterization of zirconium-based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) during the thermoplastic joining process. By using in-situ rheological methods, he was able to provide new insights into the material’s behavior under deformation, which is crucial for developing effective joining techniques for these high-performance alloys.

The MRS Fall Meeting brings together thousands of researchers from around the globe to discuss the latest interdisciplinary research in materials science. Receiving an award at such a high-level venue is a significant achievement and a testament to the quality and impact of Michał’s research.

We congratulate Michał on this outstanding international success!
